I'm hoping Youtube doesn't delete this, because it's pretty neat.
Sure, you can say it looks too modern, in comparison to the old TOS. But then, can you really imagine us making future spacecraft that would have a 60's feel to it? I can't, and that's why I quite like the new bridge and ship's interior. Though, they might have overdone it a little.
Anyway, besides the interior, there isn't too much I can judge about. The action looks good, but whether it's cannon can only be decided when watching the actual movie.
A few changes might do Trek some good. As long as they don't create an entirely different lore altogether and keep things relatively cannon, I'm fine with it.

Looks like they're "BSGing" Star Trek, I don't have a problem with it but if they were gonna take that step they should have found a better way to modernize the uniforms.
Still the film looks freaking epic, I'll be standing on line for that first weekend.
I've been curious about this project ever since it was announced, the teaser trailer didn't really do anything for me and while I enjoyed this trailer as it was presented in it's bootlegged fashion I thought it looked okay...then I saw it in HD...

I'm going just to see Simon Pegg play Scotty..
That'll be pretty epic in itself.
Oh, and the dude who plays Sylar in Heroes as Spock... I'll get round to finding out the actors name at some point later..
Does anyone else find it a tad weird that they're building the Enterprise on planet? to get SF geek for a moment, that design with the long nacelle sponsons doesn't seem designed for gravity flight or planetfall and I doubt that on impulse or magnetics they'd have the power to break atmosphere.
*Just noticed that the 'Vette Stingray goes off the cliff. What a beating the little Kirk would catch if that was my car going off a cliff a couple of hundred years in the future.
I'd be fairly certain any star trek ship would have the power to be able to break away from most atmospheres.
Although it is odd that they'd make a ship that was built on a planet incapable of landing again. Also when we've already seen the ship being refit in space.
Film could be good, still undecided. Most probably will give it a good chance though.
