Somewhat inspired by the other thread, dealing with ship sizes.

What is your favorite federation ship, from an aesthetic approach.
Is it the old enterprise, the new orleans, intrepid or perhaps a completely different vessel?

For me it's a tie between the Nova and the Akira.
One a military vessel the other a science one.

In terms of exterior design, I am quite fond of the Intrepid Class. However I quite like the Cheyenne, Galaxy, Nebula and Akira classes too.
Interior wise, I prefer the Galaxy class layout over everything else and the Intrepid as a close second - although the original Nebula class layout was quite nice too.

Oh, aye, the Nova is quite a lovely ship, both aesthetically and in accordance with its combat capabilities.

I've also always been quite fond of the Defiant, simply for it being one of few unique designs in Federation Starship Architecture.

I've always loved the Intrepid class, both for its aesthetics and purpose. The Nebula class comes in a close second for its research role and modularity.

As to the defiant. I agree, it's pretty nice on the sole basis that it's different from the flying saucepans of the federation. Admittedly there's more technobabble surrounding it, than most other fed ships.
