Serious Sam is one of th- no. The best run 'n' gun, uberfast-paced shooters in the history of everything. Period. And now, eight years after it first hit the PC, it is being remastered by some guys who are apparently called 'Croteam'. But I don't care about that. It looks sexy and as long as it plays like it did in '01 I will love it until I cannot love it any more ('til death do us part).

So, anyone else around here remember the days of owning the shit out of hundreds upon hundreds of enemies with an array of massive guns in Serious Sam?

This is the original game redone. A while back Croteam announced that they were working on a third (fourth, if you count the first/second encounter as separate) instalment in the series.

But the announcement of this remake has prompted quite a few people to wonder whether this will arrive in place of a new title...

Regardless, I've blown the dust of Serious Sam: The First Encounter and I'm not in the process of getting buttraped repeatedly as I try to play through on Serious difficulty.
